Rankin's Nattie of Texas

Nattie is as quick as a cat and has twice the energy. She is a half sister to Thunder and is only about half his size. As mentioned on Thunder's Page, Lee brought her to me to give to a lady that saw Thunder in my truck at a local corner store and fell in love with him. She asked me where she could get a dog like that and told me she lived on a small ranch and had a couple of kids and a huge yard. I knew Lee had a litter a couple of months old at the time and that one of the pups was a born unilaterally deaf (only good hearing in one ear) and was looking for a home to place her in as a "pet".

I told the lady about the pup, so she gave me her number and asked me to PLEASE check with Lee and let her know. Lee brought the little 4 month old pup over to my house and when she got out of his truck we saw Thunder's eyes light up like a kid on Christmas morning. The two ran and played all day and into the night. Romeo joined in a few times, but the two youngsters were too full of piss and vinegar for the old man to keep up with.

I called the lady that I met at the store a few times and left several messages, but she never returned my call. After a couple of days went by and a few more tries, I finally gave up and decided that Thunder and Romeo needed Nattie more than that lady did. Nattie was a nice fit here and a huge relief for the ageing Romeo that was getting a bit old to keep up with Thunder as he was getting much bigger and wanting to play more and rougher than ever before.
