Jajome's Don Lorenzo

Dick - lower left side on the tailgate of the truck.

His name on paper was Jajome's Don Lorenzo, but he was known as simply Dick. I'm not sure exactly how long he was in Texas with Dustin before he came to us, but he was already a full grown, mature male Dogo. Dustin had him on a few hogs, but was no longer hunting with "catch dogs" and offered him to us in trade for a young puppy. We received word about this from JoAnn and Don that year and made contact with Dustin and the trade was made for one of Petey's pups.

Dick was like a freight train in the woods . . . and when he hit a hog, the fight was over. He was a silent hunter and a huge force on many a big boar. Dick was known to go find his own hog and on occasion we had no idea where he was until we heard the hog squeal.

Unfortunately we never got any puppies from him, but we did catch a whole lot of hogs with him and he was as gentle as a kitten to be around. I regret that I did not get any more photos of him than what I did, but I'll share what I do have below.
