| Gringa's litter came on an unusually cold stormy spring
night. It was a late cool front that hit the warm air from the Gulf on the
first day of May that year. Our new kennels were still under construction,
so when she decide it was time to deliver we had to move fast. We moved
Gringa into a covered stock trailer and put temporary wall coverings all
around it to keep the cold driving rain out.
After a couple of hours and much excitement, we had our first litter of
Dogo puppies on the ground. It didn't take her long to get them cleaned up
and as soon as we got a break in the weather, we moved her and all the new
little squirming babies into the house. |
