| On a cold winter night in February of '95, I stayed up pretty late
thinking this would be the night Shadow would have her pups. After it got
really late and she didn't seem to be making a nest, I determined that she
would wait until the next day. Well, she obviously had other plans. After
I had been a sleep about an hour, I woke to Shadow's first born on my
chest. She evidently had the puppy and was not sure what to do with it. Or
maybe that was just her way of getting my attention so I could help her
out.
As shown in the above photo, she had a fairly nice pile of little white
trophies to tend to for the coming weeks. The photos below show their
growth progress over the next several months. |
