Status Update: At around noon today (3/25/10) the doctors that preformed the surgery on Lance came into the waiting room and reported to the family. "The surgery went better than expected" said the chief surgeon. He added a few more encouraging details and let us know that Lance is doing very well. I put these words on here with a lump in my throat and a tear of joy in my eye and feel a bit of weight has been lifted from my heart and shoulders. Obviously there is still a long way to go, but it appears that many of our prayers have been answered. I feel very good now in terms of where things are at this stage verses where they could be. The response to this cause has been overwhelming, the donations, the prayers, and the overall support is amazing! I will post more information asap. I mainly wanted to post
this message to pass along the great news that the surgery went very well and
that Lance is doing well. On behalf of Lance and the entire Rankin family . . .
