| As mentioned in the
Surgery Report, according to the
doctor, "the surgery went better than expected." The margins
appeared to be fine in a smaller area than originally thought,
therefore the doctor did not need to remove as much facial tissue as
originally planned. Secondary to removing
the cancer and the immediate area around the cancer itself, the
doctor removed three lymph nodes from the side of Lance's face and
sent them out for testing. The pathology reports are in and the
doctor told Lance today (4/01/10) that the tests came back clean.
Meaning they appear to have removed everything that had cancer cells
and Lance is now CANCER FREE!!! Hats off to the doctors and hospital
staff for a wonderful job.
