Details and Schedule of Events Gates open at 11:00 am Saturday May 1st, 2010 Sign-up for the 1st tournament 11:00 am till 12:20 pm
You may pre-register by using the
Sign Up Form (deadline to pre-register is Tuesday
April 27th) First tournament (A-B tournament) will begin at 12:30 pm and run until 3:15 pm. Start serving lunch ($6 brisket plates) at noon. Serve through 4:00 pm. After 4:00 pm we will begin serving hamburgers and hotdogs until we run out of food or until midnight when the event ends. Opening band will begin playing at 12:30 pm and a new band will come on about every two hours. Bands will be playing throughout the event. Second set of tournaments will begin at 3:30 and depending on the number of entries should finish approximately 5:30 pm. We will continue to play washers into the evening and there will likely be another tournament or two that takes place in addition to those already scheduled. About the washer tournaments: The first tournament will be handicapped. There will be an "A" player (or experienced player) placed randomly with a "B" player (or novice). This tournament is our main tournament and is open to everyone. We encourage everyone to participate in this tournament. We are attempting to get 256 participants and are well on our way. It will be single elimination and 16 games will be played simultaneously in two different sets of washer pits (blue pit and red pit) Once this tournament is complete we will start the "open tournament" as well as the "women's/children's tournament" The open tournament is open to anyone and is not handicapped. You must sign up with a partner or we will place you with someone if you don't already have a partner. The Women's / Children's tournament is open to women and children 12 and under. It is not handicapped. You must sign up with a partner or we will place you with one if you don't already have a partner. Both of these tournaments are single elimination tournaments also. The games will be played on washer boards with one hole. Points will be of the 1, 3 and 5 variety. See the Sign Up Form for rules and more details. We encourage you to pre-register and guarantee yourself a spot in the tournaments you would like to participate in. The deadline to pre-register is Tuesday April 27th. All spots that are not filled from pre-registration will be filled starting at 11:00 am on Saturday May 1st. FYI: For anyone interested in staying in Pleasanton Saturday night instead of driving home, there is a new Holiday INN Express located at 350 Medical Drive- (830) 769-3323.
